Caykur Rizespor midfielder Ibrahim Olawoyin has made the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week for the second consecutive week, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
His inclusion in the match-week 12 team follows his impressive performance in their 3-1 win over Trabzonspor in a derby on Saturday.
The 26-year-old rounded off the scoring for Rizespor in the game for his first of the season. It was a follow-up to his performance against Sivasspor last week, when he also made his first assist of the season.
He was given a 9.0 rating by the football stats website Flashscore for both games.
Olawoyin was named alongside Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who also bagged a brace for Galatasaray in their nervy 3-2 win over Samsunspor.
The former Rangers International man was named in a two-man midfield with Fenerbahce’s Mert Hakan Yandaş, while Osimhen was the lone striker.
“Still buzzing after the Derby win over Trabzonspor. Alhamdulilah for the goal too. Thanks to our passionate fans,” Olawoyin wrote via X on Sunday.
Saturday’s win was Rizespor’s fourth of the season after 11 games, having drawn one game and lost one.
They are currently 12th in the table with 13 points and a game in hand.
Olawoyin joined Rizespor from Keciorengucu midway through the 2022/23 season, when both clubs were seeking promotion to the topflight.
He contributed three goals and two assists in 16 league games to help them gain promotion and doubled his efforts in the topflight last term, scoring eight goals and three assists in 36 games.
