OGUN State Commissioner for Environment, Dr Ola Oresanya, has described the state as one of the cleanest states in the country, adding that the number of people moving into the state to reside or do business is a testament to that.
Dr Oresanya, made the assertion during the 2024 Crownfit Food and Beverages Exhibition, Season 4, themed
‘Savor the Season’, a two-day exhibition event packaged by the CEO Crownfit Cocktails and More, held at the popular Skating Ground, Panseke, Abeokuta.
Represented by Mr Gbenga Odubiyi, the commissioner, however, frowned on an article published in one of the national dailies recently (not Tribune) which rated the state as the 10th dirtiest state in Nigeria.
Oresanya debunked this, adding: “Ogun State is en-vironmental-friendly. In the area of cleanliness, there has been a great change in the state since the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration came into power. In fact, the entire Ogun metropolis is neat.”
In her opening remarks, the convener of the exhibition, who is also the CEO Crown-fit Cocktails and More, Mrs Adeyemi Abimbola, thanked everyone for their support for the exhibition.
She charged the vendors to employ good marketing strategies during the exhibition, that is, by approaching buyers one-on-one and through social media, adding that “A good vendor must devise every means to attract his or her customers,” he said.
According to Adeyemi, the exhibition is a platform created to connect those in the food and beverages sector to come together, showcase their products, project their services to a wider audience.
More than 20 companies turned up for the two-day exhibition.
