The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, was impeached on Tuesday, by 18 lawmakers out of 26.
The lawmakers unanimously elected Hon. Oludaisi Elemide from Odeda State Constituency.
The duo of the erstwhile and new Speaker were third time members of the Assembly.
There were reports of gunshots at the Assembly Complex.
