Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Ebonyi counterpart Francis Nwifuru have reached out to console Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom following the passing of his wife, Mrs Patience Umo Eno.
Obaseki described the late First Lady as a compassionate and well-loved individual who championed humanitarian causes, notably the ‘Golden Initiative for All,’ which aimed to alleviate poverty and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of Akwa Ibom State residents.
He praised her tireless efforts in building a fair and just society, supporting her husband in providing leadership and direction to the people of Akwa Ibom.
Nwifuru also expressed his condolences, highlighting the late First Lady’s commitment to excellence and democratic ideals, which contributed to the good governance enjoyed by the people of Akwa Ibom.
He urged Governor Eno to take heart, emphasizing that his late wife’s legacies of humility and impact will continue to inspire others.
Both governors extended their heartfelt condolences to Governor Eno, his family, and the people of Akwa Ibom during this difficult time.
