The wife of Ebonyi Governor, Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudaline Nwifuru, has sought partnership from British Deputy High Commissioner Ms Gill Lever in agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructural development.
Mrs Nwifuru made this known when she received the British Deputy High Commissioner at her office, Centenary City Abakaliki.
Mrs Nwifuru also commended her Governor for the inclusion of women in his governance, which has showcased the significance of women in nation-building and sustainable development.
According to her, the deliberate inclusion of women in the political and administrative fabric has not only enhanced governance but has also fostered a culture of productivity, transparency, and accountability.

Today in Ebonyi state, a woman is the Deputy Governor, a Woman is the SSG, a woman is the head of Service, 5 female Commissioners, 5 female Senior Special Assistants, 11 female Special Assistants, 2 female Local government Chairmen, All the Local Government Vice Chairmen are women, All the local government secretaries are women, 5 female chairmen of board and 21 female members of different boards, 13 female Development Center Coordinators.

The British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ms. Gill Lever, has eulogized the wife of Ebonyi Governor Chief Mrs Mary-Maudaline Nwifuru, for humanitarian activities in the State.
“I am happy to be in Ebonyi State, and I want to commend the wife of the governor for her humanitarian activities and achievements. I also want to thank the governor for the inclusion of women in his government.
“I want to appeal for more female inclusion to help us in sustainable development in all sectors.”
The meeting was attended by some of the female appointees, including members of the House of Assembly, commissioners, female chairmen, and SA on adult education.
