Sporting Lagos head coach, Paul Offor, says he was proud of his players’ performance in the victory over Remo Stars.
The modest club defeated Remo Stars 4-1 in the South West derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday.
Offor said the result was a massive one for his team.
“The quality and the character they [the team] showed is something we are very proud of,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“The display in front of the fans and being a derby game against Remo Stars, one of the best teams in the league, was a massive result for the team.”
Sporting Lagos moved to 12th position on the table with the victory.
Offor’s side will take on Niger Tornadoes in their next game at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Wednesday.
