The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has elected new leaders to oversee its affairs in Adamawa State for the next four years.
During the party’s state congress held on Thursday in Yola, a 30-member state executive committee was elected for a four-year term.
The congress, conducted by an electoral committee led by Mr. Zakka R. Christopher as chairman and Sadiq A. Usman as secretary, was peaceful and hitch-free, with all officials elected unopposed through consensus and a voice vote.
The newly elected leaders include Mr. Bundi Ahmadu Pious as the State Chairman, Alhaji Umaru Jambuba as the State Deputy Chairman, and Mr. Pwaveino T. Calvin as the State Secretary.
Other key positions filled include: Aminu Bala Tafida as Deputy State Secretary, Zainab Musa Garba as Woman Leader, Innocent Dauda as State Organizing Secretary, Nasiru Zubairu as State Treasurer, Barrister Murtala Gambo as Legal Adviser, John Matekai (J-Real) as Publicity Secretary.

Barrister Sani Bello administered the oaths of office and allegiance to the newly elected officials in the presence of delegates and party members from all 21 local government areas in the state.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Bundi Ahmadu Pious, expressed gratitude to the delegates for entrusting him and his team with the task of leadership.
He commended party members for their sacrifices and pledged to ensure inclusivity in managing the party’s affairs.
He also urged members to support and cooperate with the new leadership to strengthen the NNPP in Adamawa State.
Pious emphasized that the party has met all constitutional requirements by establishing structures from the ward to the state level and assured members that political activities would soon commence in earnest.
