Felix Olunkwa, the Abia State Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has been released by his abductors, after spending ten days in captivity.
Olunkwa, who is a popular journalist and media influencer, regained his freedom after his family and friends allegedly rallied round to pay an undisclosed sum of money as ransom to his abductors.
He was declared missing about two weeks ago by his wife, Mrs Olunkwa, who said that her husband had gone to Ala Oji auto spare parts market in Aba to buy some parts to fix his car but did not return.
Details of Olunkwa’s freedom have not been made known yet by his family.
But the news of his return has thrown the members of NIPR in Abia into joy as they feared for the life of their chairman in kidnappers’ den.
