The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh, has bowed out from office.
When Arogidigba Global Journal tried to contact the Head of Media at NIMASA, Edward Osagie, to confirm the development, he was not able to take his calls.
However, a reliable source within the agency, who preferred anonymity, confirmed that Jamoh’s tenure at NIMASA ended on March 10, 2024.
He said Jamoh had handed over to the Executive Director of Finance, Chudi Ofordile.
Arogidigba Global Journal recalls that Jamoh was appointed as the DG of the Agency on March 10 2020 by Former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Before his appointment, Jamoh served as the agency’s finance executive.
Jamoh had replaced Dakuku Peterside.
