Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke has announced via his Instagram story that he has withdrawn from representing Nigerian artist, Speed Darlington.
This comes a few days after the singer was released from prison, after being detained for nearly two 2 months.
It can be recalled that Speed Darlington, who is fondly referred to as ‘Akpi,’ was arrested by the Nigerian police for allegedly defaming his colleague, Burna Boy.
Akpi had constantly made videos trolling the Grammy Award singer and claiming that he won the award due to the relationship he had with Diddy, who has now been arrested on multiple charges including sexual exploitation.
Worn out by the constant name-calling and degenerating of his character, Burna Boy filed a complaint with the Nigerian police which led to Akpi being arrested.
Stanley, who was one of the lawyers who represented him during the alleged defamation case he had with Burna Boy has now come out to disassociate himself from him.
He wrote on his Instagram story;
“I and my law firm (Law Capitol) has officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr Darlington Achakpo AKA Speed Darlington/Akpi and henceforth ceases to act as his legal attorneys.“
While some concurred with the lawyer’s decision, others stated that they had looked forward to this day because Akpi had it coming.
