Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack has said that she hopes to see every civil servant being efficient, productive, incorruptible and citizen centered.

The HoS spoke at Meet and Greet Cocktail for journalists in Abuja on Monday where she thanked the media for its support in her time in office.

“I know that this office has always been supported by the media and I can test to it because I was also in this office from 2015, came back to the office in 2017-2019. So I know the forth estate of the realm has always supported this office,” she said.

“Thank you for the support you have given us especially on my announcement as the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and that support has continued uptil date.

“You will recall that since we assumed the office, we have had several programmes and activities, and I sincerely appreciate you all for having supported our activities, our programmes and giving it the necessary publicity for proper dissemination to the citizens of Nigeria.

“You will recall that the office has the federal civil service strategy and implementation 2021-2025 and that is the plan that we are still driving.

“However, we have resolved to bring on board creativity and innovation to accelerate that plan.
And so the six pillars which represent the reform the ongoing reforms require adequate coverage so that the implementation can be fastracked.

“And so this and indeed the federal civil service delivers on the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We have quite a few things we are working on and in the fullness of time we will need you know as the media what we have been able to achieve.
But I must say what we are actually looking forward to is our 100 days in office.

“We are working on several things but I beg to share with you today, one initiative which we have brought to bear and very soon we will actually show you a clip and we hope you will join us in singing our federal civil service anthem.”

The HoSF said she has reintroduced the anthem to drive the reform, adding that the anthem will be sung by all civil and public servants and indeed Nigerians.

She said the lyric of the anthem will encourage every public servant to “be efficient, productive, incorruptible, and citizen centered.”
