The Niger state pioneer coordinator of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Minna field office, Alhaji Ahmed Emimaru has bowed out of civil service after a meritorious service to the nation and on the attainment of retirement age of 60 years.
In a farewell reception organised to appreciate his exit from service, the NMDPRA office in Minna described Emimaru as “a very humble gentleman, kind, compassionate, kind-hearted person, God-fearing, man of integrity, empathy, accountable, admiring character, a team player whose exit from active service has created a vacuum and will be felt for quite a while.”
Speaking on behalf of the Organization, Head of Operations, Benard Akpan applauded the celebrant for a successful exit from service while urging others to emulate his good works during his years of meritorious service, stressing that he deserved to be honoured.
Also, the former comptroller and pioneer of Minna Field Office, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Abdullahi Isah Jankara described Emimaru as a very humble person, team player, dedicated and committed staff whose humility was very exceptional, urging him to ensure maximum rest and care for himself and the family.
Jankara stated that oil and gas is volatile and dynamic hence, the need to think outside the box by investing in CNG as continuous investment in petroleum will soon become a waste, highlighting that NMDPRA should be a guardian to the marketers on the current situation and expectations.
In his response, the celebrant, Emimaru expressed satisfaction for a successful retirement with good health, saying that he will return to farming which he was known for as a farmer before he joined the organization.
He also appreciated the presence of all the dignitaries, friends, associates, well-wishers and his family members for their assistance and support over the years assuring that he would not let them down.
Also speaking on behalf of the family, Alhaji Mohammed Hassan said that they were particularly humbled by the good words and prayers while challenging Nigerians to be fair and honest in discharging their responsibilities at every level of governance to better Nigeria.
In their separate remarks, the Chairman, Niger state chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Minna branch, Alhaji Adamu Erena in conjunction with his counterpart from the Major Marketers Association, Alhaji Jimoh Abdulrahman commended the kindness, humility, empathy and magnanimity of the outgoing State Coordinator of NMDPRA, Alhaji Ahmed Emimaru and prayed for his successful and peaceful life after retirement from active service.
An NMDPRA worker, Pastor Dominic who was emotional in his words, stated that Emimaru’s humbleness made him forget his position as a boss, patient, tolerant, accommodating, generous and counselling made him exceptional, prayed that his retirement will mark the beginning of his success in life.
Emimaru received donations from various individuals, groups and organizations to appreciate his good working relationship over the years while wishing him all the best in his endeavours.
Emimaru hails from Emimoru born on 15th July 1964 into the family of Alhaji Hassan Mohammed and Hajiya Fatima Hassan from the Gbako local government area of Niger state, retired on Monday 15th July 2024 at the age of 60 years.
