- As Governor Bigo Commissions ICT Center, classrooms built by Council Chairman

The Niger state governor, Umar Muhammed Bago, said his government will establish a yam processing factory in Paiko, headquarters of Paikoro local government area of the state, to boost business activities of the people and enhance their economic stature.
Governor Bago stated this when visited the area to inspect some ongoing projects started by his administration as part of his statewide tour.
“The people of Paiko, who are predominantly yam farmers, deserve to have a modern yam processing factory to process the commodities, which will enhance their economic well-being in the area, and my government will not relent until he sees this project is achieved,” he said.
On the 50-bed hospital project by senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Alhaji Muhammed Sani Musa, the governor said his government will extend it to 100-bed capacity and convert the hospital to General Hospital to move the health facility closer to the people in the area.
While welcoming the governor, the chairman of Paikoro Local Government, Mr. Aminu Yandai, appreciated the effort of the governor in tackling the security challenges of the area and providing a conducive atmosphere for economic activities to strive in the local government.
He then appealed to the governor to extend the ongy five-kilometer road projects across the state to 7 kilometer in the area to boost the easy movement of goods and services in the area.
My Yaundai therefore explained that as local government chairman, he will key in the laudable policies of Bago-led government that have direct bearing on his people in the local government.
“I support him 100 percent and will follow his footsteps to transform Paikoro local government. I have already built three blocks of classrooms and computer centres to make our children computer literate.”
Some political leaders at both state and federal levels from the area were in the governor’s entourage to the Local Government area.
The highlight of the occasion was the commissioning of the ICT center and the three classrooms built by the Chairman of the Local government as well as other rural electrification projects in the local government council.
