Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on the dual celebration of his 21st year on the throne and 72nd birthday.
In a statement, the governor expressed gratitude to Allah for His continued blessings in the life of the revered traditional ruler of the Nupe Kingdom.
He commended the 13th Etsu Nupe for his leadership not only among the Nupe-speaking people but also for his fatherly role in the broader community.
Governor Bago acknowledged the unity and high cultural values that flourish under the monarch’s reign, noting that these qualities reflect purposeful leadership and a commitment to preserving the rich heritage of the Nupe Kingdom.
He highlighted the positive impact of the Etsu Nupe’s rule, which extends beyond his subjects to other Nigerians living in and around the kingdom.
Describing the monarch as a bridge-builder, selfless, determined, and caring leader, the governor praised his unwavering support for state policies and programmes, particularly through his collaboration with other traditional rulers in the state.
The governor concluded his message with prayers for Allah’s continued love and mercy on the Etsu Nupe, wishing him a peaceful and successful reign for years to come.
