Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has said that the vote of confidence passed on him by the State House of Assembly is a call for his administration to redouble its efforts in providing dividends of democracy to its citizens.
The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, at the House of Assembly Complex in Minna, stated that his administration will not take the confidence for granted. He used the occasion to thank the Speaker and other members of the Legislature for their support in ensuring the success of his administration.
Governor Umaru Bago emphasized that nothing would have been achieved without the cooperation of the Legislature and Judicial arms of government. He called for a sustained relationship between the three arms of government, acknowledging their instrumental role in the achievements attained in all sectors of governance. He also assured that his administration would do everything humanly possible to add value to the people.

The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, stated that Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has done remarkably well. He assured him of the Assembly’s continued support in realizing his aspirations for Nigerlites, explaining that the State Assembly is convinced by his achievements so far.
The Deputy Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Hon. Afiniki Dauda, described Governor Umaru Bago as a dogged and dedicated leader who has shown exemplary leadership style. She commended him for including women in governance.
The member representing Munya Constituency under the PDP platform, Hon. Joseph Haruna Duza, described Governor Umaru Bago as a selfless leader who carries everybody along regardless of party affiliation. He reiterated that members of the House would support him in his transformation agenda.
The member representing Tafa Constituency, Hon. Muhammad Sani Idris, moved the motion to pass a vote of confidence on Governor Umaru Bago, which was subsequently supported by other members.
