The newly deployed Commissioner of Police to Kogi State, Miller Dantawaye, has assumed office.
Dantawaye, who replaced Bethrand Onuoha after his retirement from service on 21st January 2025, was received by top police officers in Kogi State.
Addressing journalists at the command headquarters in Lokoja, the Commissioner of Police vowed to flush criminals out of Kogi State.
His words: “Criminal elements terrorizing Kogi State should relocate now because we are coming after them. Kogi State is not for them. I am not here to joke. The Inspector General of Police, in his wisdom, deemed it fit for me to be posted here as Commissioner of Police following my track record.
“I will bring my wealth of experience to the table in nipping crimes in the bud in Kogi State. I have learned a lot from the people I have worked with. When crime is on the increase, I always have a way to bring it to the barest minimum. So, those criminal elements should know that Kogi State is no more their place.”
Dantawaye, who is a former Deputy Commissioner of Police in operations in Edo and Yobe States, noted that the command will continue to synergize with other sister security agencies in nipping crimes in the bud.
CP Miller Dantawaye is the 39th Commissioner of Police deployed to Kogi State.
