In continuation of its programme to provide key employability and digital skills for the youth, the NerdzFactory Foundation, in collaboration with Access Corporation, has concluded its fourth edition of the youth transition programme in Lagos.
The programme aims to equip 500 young people with key employability and digital skills to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
Director of NerdzFactory Foundation, Ade Olowojoba, said the goal of the programme is not only to enhance participants’ employability but also to nurture a mindset of entrepreneurship.
“We are committed to equipping the next generation with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
“By empowering these young individuals, we’re fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship that can help drive economic growth in our communities,” he said.
He disclosed that the programme focused on providing participants with practical tools for job searching and digital proficiency.
“At the end of the training, participants were better prepared to secure employment or embark on their own business ventures,” he added.
He also revealed that the partnership between the two organisations reflects their shared vision of creating sustainable pathways for youth empowerment, positioning these young individuals to make meaningful contributions to the workforce and economy as they step into their professional journeys.
“The programme included a series of virtual training sessions that spanned several weeks. Participants were exposed to a wide range of topics, ranging from mastering digital workspace tools to honing their CV writing and LinkedIn optimisation skills.
“Interactive webinars also covered critical areas such as digital marketing, providing the youth with the knowledge to leverage online platforms for economic opportunities,” he said.
