NDPC urges peace amid Rivers political disaster

The Niger Delta Peoples’ Congress (NDPC), USA, has known as on the warring factions within the ongoing political disaster in Rivers State to present peace an opportunity.

In an announcement signed by Bishop Samson Amajene, President of the NDPC, USA, the group expressed considerations over the lingering political upheaval within the state, saying that the disaster impedes the event of the state and, as such, must be vehemently discouraged in addition to prevented utterly.

It famous the excessive stage of insecurity, youth restiveness, and re-occurrence of insurgency, in addition to the damaging social and political impacts the disaster will carry to the folks of the state, reiterating the significance of politicians not permitting private pursuits to override the overall curiosity and prosperity of the folks of the state, the area, and the nation.

The NDPC identified that crises create three associated threats: public security, financial loss, and the breakdown of regulation and order.

It lamented that no funding would thrive in a crisis-ridden state because it discourages traders, thereby escalating the costs of meals, stressing that essentially the most affected in all these crises had been girls, who’re managers of properties.

Recounting the experiences and damaging impacts of political crises that had rocked Rivers State up to now, the NDPC stated the implication of one other political disaster can be too grievous for the state to bear.

They urged the Federal Authorities led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, elder statesmen, and elites within the state to prevail on the political actors concerned within the latest disaster to sheathe their swords.
