the immediate past executives of the zone.
The convention where a new set of leaders for the zone will be elected is slated for Lagos on Friday, November 8.
The chairman of the convention planning committee, Mr. Emmanuel Feranmi, made this disclosure in a statement on Monday.
According to him, based on the dissolution of former executives, “all structures established by the administration and in line with the constitution of NANS, including the previous Convention Planning Committee, stand dissolved.”

Feranmi noted that the proposed gathering promises to be a veritable platform for students from the geo-political zone to converge, share ideas, address common challenges, and come up with innovative recommendations that will shape the future of education in the region and the country at large.
He added that the convention would equally offer a unique opportunity for participants to engage in constructive dialogue, foster collaboration, and address pressing concerns affecting their academic and social well-being.
“So, through this convention, he said, “we aim to promote unity, understanding, and collective progress, especially among student leaders and other stakeholders.
He noted that the forum would equally serve as a platform to equip student leaders with requisite skills and knowledge of quality leadership, and give opportunity to network and collaborate for positive change in their respective campuses and communities.
“We shall also ensure to conduct a free, fair and credible election to usher in a new set of leaders for our zone,” he stressed.
Feranmi therefore urged all delegates, student leaders and other stakeholders to expect an impactful forum that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
