The National Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Alhaji Jalal Ahmad-Arabi, has assured that the Sir Ahmad Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, would be used for 2024 Hajj operations.
He disclosed this during a courtesy visit on Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
The chairman said, “Let me congratulate you in advance that the Sir Ahmad Bello International Airport will be used for 2024 Hajj operations.”
He said he was in Kebbi to, first of all, thank the governor for the support and encouragement he has been extending to the state Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
This he said was in addition to inspecting facilities at the airport as well as the Hajj camp.
The inspection, according to him, was in preparation for the commencement of the 2024 Hajj exercise, saying the commission was committed to ensuring successful Hajj operations.
Responding, Governor Idris appreciated Arabi for the visit and assured him of providing the support to excel in piloting the affairs of the commission.
The governor also appreciated the chairman for the encouragement the state pilgrims agency was enjoying which he said had paved the way for its smooth operations
