Niger Tornadoes Interim coach Majin Mohammed has warned his players against complacency ahead of their tie against Gombe United.
The Ikon Allah Boys will host the Savannah Scorpions in a matchday 29 fixture at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Sunday(today).
Mohammed demanded total concentration and determination from his players going into the game.
“The fact that we are on a good run of form should not give room for complacency, because our job is not done yet,” he stated in an address to his players.
“Our weekend’s opponents (Gombe United) might be languishing in the bottom of the table, but we are not going to use that as a metric but to approach them like any other big team, because that’s the only way we can get our desired points and atone for the defeat meted on us in the first leg at the Pantami Stadium.
“No team can be underrated especially, by this time of the season.”
Niger Tornadoes secured a narrow win against Gombe United in their previous meeting in 2022.
Munir Idris scored the only goal in the game.
