A cleric, Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, also known as Baba Authority, has charged Nigerian youths to focus on hard work and practical efforts rather than relying solely on miracles for success.
Prophet Ojo, while speaking during a sermon online in the ongoing 30 days of fasting and prayer, stressed the significance of diligence, creativity, and persistence in achieving personal growth and financial breakthroughs.
“Faith without works is dead. Nigerians must understand that miracles can only complement effort, not replace it,” he said.
The cleric outlined the challenges of unemployment, economic hardship, and dependency on spiritual intervention as barriers to self-reliance and productivity in the country, encouraging the youths to discover and utilize their talents.
“God has blessed everyone with unique abilities. The key to prosperity lies in identifying those gifts and working with your hands to make a difference. Don’t say you don’t have a job; search for something to do. Stop being a social media freak.
“Use your hands to work, not just watch social media. No one will pay you for watching social media content. By watching these people, they are getting richer, while you are jumping from one content creator to another. You are not using your brain to work. May you never carry a coconut head this year. May you receive favor to work,” he advised.
According to him, many people are bitter because God has not answered them, questioning how God will answer them when they are not using their hands and brains to work.
The man of God also called on leaders to create an enabling environment where people can thrive through their efforts, advising young Nigerians to embrace skill acquisition and entrepreneurship as pathways to financial independence and fulfillment.
