Micheal Iwara has emerged as the Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B (South-South) during an election held on Saturday.
Iwara, who hails from Cross River State, was elected alongside other executive members of the zone.
The election, held at The College of Education, Warri, witnessed the participation of representatives from across the South-South region.
The groundbreaking election, which underscored unity and democratic participation within NANS, was attended by the NANS National President, Comrade Lucky Omonefe, and delegates from all six states of the South-South geopolitical zone.
Student Union Government (SUG) presidents were also present to cast their votes and affirmed the electoral process as transparent and inclusive.

In his speech, Iwara expressed a deep commitment to advancing the welfare and interests of Nigerian students within the South-South region.
He pledged to ensure that students from the region fully benefit from the nation’s resources and opportunities, promoting equitable access and representation.
Iwara emphasized that his leadership would prioritize the needs and aspirations of students, assuring them of effective advocacy on issues of welfare, education, and social development.
