Man machetes brother to loss of life over alleged sexual demand

A suspect recognized as Ibrahim Salisu has been taken into custody by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly macheting his brother, Malaimi Yellow, to loss of life over alleged sexual demand.

PUNCH Metro learnt from the state command that the incident occurred within the Araromi Avenue, Sango-Ota space at about 11:00 p.m. on Friday.

Our correspondent learnt from the police that the 54-year-old had been allegedly pestering his little brother for intercourse.

The police alleged that following Yellow’s ceaseless calls for, the youthful brother was stated to have drawn out a machete to finish his life.

The spokesperson for the command, Odutola Omolola, advised PUNCH Metro in an unique interview on Sunday that the corpse of Yellow had been recovered and deposited on the Ifo Basic Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem.

“He has confessed to the crime. He advised our males, who arrested him, that he killed his brother as a result of he saved disturbing him for intercourse. His case will quickly be transferred as soon as the preliminary investigation is accomplished,” Odutola advised PUNCH Metro.

In accordance with crime statistics for December 2023, completely made out there to our correspondent on Sunday, earlier than this present incident, the state had recorded about 18 homicide instances and a further eight sexual-related offenses throughout the state within the month alone.
