Make Imo drug free – Uzodinma’s aide urges residents

Particular Adviser On Narcotics And Illicit Medicine Monitoring to Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo, Chief Ezechukwu Obonna, has suggested Imo residents to work in the direction of making the state drug-free.

Obonna gave the recommendation when he marked his birthday in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, on Saturday.

He suggested towards the consumption of a harmful drug referred to as Kush, a drug constituted of human bones and chemical compounds, in addition to the sniffing of human urine and stays and the trafficking of medicine.

“Let’s strive to withstand the temptation of getting concerned within the consumption and trafficking of illicit medication, particularly the harmful development from Sierra Leone referred to as KUSH, which is a tough drug constituted of human bones and chemical compounds.

“On this present day of my delivery, I want and pray all of us come collectively to combat this menace of drug abuse, which is now at an epidemic degree.

“The combat begins in our houses, as all fingers have to be on deck to make sure that we assist our God-sent governor obtain his real purpose of constructing our state drug-free, as this can translate to creating our state crime-free,” he stated.

In keeping with him, there have been little or no circumstances of violent crimes throughout the yuletide, a sign that the state authorities was profitable the battle towards insecurity, which is often aided by drug abuse.
