Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, recently underwent a successful eye surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
Sharing the news on his X handle on Friday, Abayomi expressed appreciation to the medical team for their skilful care and for ensuring a painless procedure.
He acknowledged the efforts of the oculoplastic surgeons, led by Prof. Bola Adekoya and Dr. Rosemay Ngwu, as well as the nursing team headed by Apex Nurse Adejoke Okeowo.
The commissioner also praised the Director of Clinical Services and Training, Prof. Adebowale Adekoya, for his leadership while also commending the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabanwo, for driving excellence in healthcare delivery at LASUTH.
Accompanying his posts were photos taken during his time at the hospital.
He wrote, “Huge thanks to the incredible oculoplastic surgeons in the Eye Department, especially Prof. Mrs. Bola Adekoya and Dr. Rosemay Ngwu, for their expertise and for making the procedure painless,” the commissioner wrote.
