The Lagos State House of Assembly has announced the appointment of new principal officers.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda announced the new principal officers during plenary on Friday.
The appointment came after the dissolution of the subsisting principal officers by the new speaker, Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda.
The principal officers include Hon. Temitope Adedeji representing as the majority leader, Hon Richard Kasunmu as the deputy majority leader, Hon. David Sentonji as the Chief Whip, and Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon as the deputy chief whip.

Members of the selection committee were also appointed. The committee include the Speaker of the House as the chairman of the committee, Deputy Speaker, majority, chief whip, Hon Yishawu, Hon Aina Musbau, Acting Clerk as secretary of the committee.
Rt. Hon .Meranda assumed the speakership position on Monday following the impeachment of the erstwhile Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa by the House on Monday.
The House adjourned to Tuesday, 21 of January, 2025.
