From Isaac Anumihe, Abuja
Minister of Works, Senator Nweze David Umahi, has described the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja as a brilliant and dedicated officer who made legendary marks in his time as the Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Umahi said this while commiserating with the family of the late general.
In his tribute to his profound records of outstanding gallantry in the military, the minister described him as a visionary Army Chief who worked with passion and commitment in achieving the goals of national defence and security and who contributed immensely to the protection of the territorial integrity of Nigeria and the management of Nigeria’s internal security.
He prayed for God’s unfailing compassion and fortitude to the family of the fallen officer at this moment of grief.
