Tensions ran high on a plane as two women clashed over the overhead storage above their seats. A now-viral video showed them struggling to place their luggage in the storage space.

The whole ordeal was captured by a netizen, @nanichehore and posted on TikTok where it went viral.

The video captured two ladies, one in a yellow jacket and the other in black, fighting over the overhead bin on their seats. The incident started when one of the ladies (the lady in yellow) had arrived late and then unprompted, started removing the luggage that was placed in the overhead bin.

She said that she had the right to do this because the bin was directly over her seat and was therefore hers. The other lady who also had a seat under the same storage bin was unwilling to accept the lady’s claims and prevented the lady from removing her luggage which was already in the bin.

This disagreement led to ladies fighting over the storage, neither willing to back down or give up the storage space. The situation was explained by Nina who said that the confrontation might have been sparked by the fact that the flight had already been delayed for over 5 hours.

He wrote;

“You ddn’t get entertainment like this in first class

But the lady in yellow just came late and started removing everyone bags from the overhead, saying she entitled to the space since her seat is directly below the overhead storage. Lady in black wasn’t having none of it., Her seat was also directly below the overhead storage. Tensions were already high because flight was delayed for 5/6 hours.”

The video has garnered varying reactions among netizens. Many were shocked at the uncultured display of the ladies, while others wondered where the members of the cabin crew were;

@amiiy.y Where are the air hostesses?????

@chidin_maa So coming late means you can’t put your bag in the allocated storage 😏, every airline has the maximum weight of hand luggage required for every customer to avoid issues like this

@gee_tee01 My own is if she gets to remove the bag already there hope she’ll find a convenient space for the bag she removed?

@dalheena Na Igbo people 😂
