Pensioners in Kwara state, under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) have described the death of the Chief of Staff to the governor of Kwara state, Prince Abdulkadir Mahe, as a great loss, not only to his family but also to the state government, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Alhaji Sulu Ibrahim Gambari, and the entire people of the state.
In the condolence message, which was jointly signed by chairman, Alhaji Saidu Oladimeji and the secretary, Comrade Abraham Jona Gana (JP), the union described Prince Abdulkadir Mahe as a disciplined officer, sincere, hardworking, reliable, dependable, trustworthy and dedicated.
The deceased was also described as an epitome of gentility and humility as well as a man of compassion, vision and integrity.
The NUP also said that the deceased impacted positively on several individuals and groups.

While it described his death as an act of God, the NUP said that the legacies he left behind will continue to speak for him.
The union expressed sadness that the late Prince Mahe passed on when his services were still much needed.
It implored the government of Kwara state, the Emir of Ilorin, his family and the entire people of the state to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a fulfilled and purposeful life worthy of emulation.
While the union undoubtedly agreed that his exit has created a vacuum difficult to fill, it prayed God to grant him aljanah firdaus and give his family, Kwara state government, the Emir of Ilorin and the Kwarans, the fortitude to bear the loss.
