The Chairman of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, Mallam Mamman Nda-Eri, has revealed that they will work hand in hand with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the upcoming local government council elections.
Speaking with Tribune Online on Thursday in his office, he stated that they have already collected the list of registered voters for the election.
He added that the names and logos of all 19 political parties that participated in the last general election will be included on the ballot papers.

He noted that they will follow all the guidelines provided by INEC, adding that the commission is committed to conducting free, fair, and credible local government council elections.
He also emphasized that the voters’ register will be placed at every polling center across all 21 local government councils during the election.
Regarding security personnel, he said that everything is fully in place before, during, and after the election, adding that the commission will do everything possible to ensure people can cast their votes.
He advised all political parties to abide by the rules and regulations, stressing that the commission will ensure that no party is left out before, during, or after the exercise.
The local government council elections are expected to be held on October 9th, 2024.
