The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the immediate removal of Hassan Atawodi as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.
Arogidigba Global Journal reliably learnt that the sacked council boss allegedly diverted palliatives meant for his local government to another place.
The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs Folashade Ayoade confirmed this in a statement on Monday.
She disclosed that, the governor has approved the appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area with immediate effect.
According to her, the governor has
directed Atawodi to submit all government’s properties in his possession to the new transition chairman.
The statement also directed Atawodi to handover all the affairs of the council and submit a hand-over note to the new transition chairman immediately.
His removal according to Ayoade was inline with the zero tolerance of Governor Ododo’s fight against corruption.
