Ireland are bidding to win their second successive Six Nations title as they host Scotland in the final round of fixtures.
Andy Farrell’s side were beaten 23-22 by England on Saturday thanks to a last-gasp Marcus Smith drop-goal but after winning their first three fixtures, the reigning champions remain top.
Scotland suffered a disappointing 31-29 defeat against Italy as the hosts secured their first home Six Nations victory in 11 years.

Ireland take on Scotland on Saturday, March 16 and the game will kick off at 4:45pm (GMT). This will take place after Wales host Italy at 2:15pm and before England’s clash with France at 8pm.

Following Ireland’s defeat by England, Andy Farrell was frustrated at the result but gave credit to Steve Borthwick’s side.
“For large parts of that game, I thought we were a little bit off,” he said. England obviously had had the big say in that, but we showed the resilience to keep bouncing back.
“England found a way in the end and they thoroughly deserved the win.”
The Ireland manager is focused on putting the defeat behind them and looking ahead to Saturday.
“I’ll make sure we come into work on Monday with the smile on our face because there’s a championship to win”, he said.
After seeing his side concede 21 unanswered points, Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend said: “We gave five or six penalties in a row and that gave Italy a massive opportunity to get back in the game.”
Former Scotland prop Peter Wright heavily criticised the players after they blew a 22-10 lead.
He said: “We’ve got a good coach but we’ve got players who abdicate responsibility. We’ve said we’re a good team for the last eight years and have nothing to show for it.”
