The Kebbi State Government has handed over the newly procured modern equipments, ‘state-of-the-art equipment’, procured for Kebbi Television to the management of the station.
Commissioner for information and Cultures,Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi handed over the modern tools to the General Manager of Kebbi Television, Alhaji Aminu Sani Kamba in Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking at the short hand over ceremony held within the premises of Ministry of Information’s headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, Commissioner for information and Cultures, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed,said that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris would continue to support state own media organisations.
According to him, ” this administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr Nasir Idris would continue to invest and support the State’s media outlets.
” This marks the first time since the state was created in 1991 that these such advanced equipments were procured for Kebbi Television”.
He commended Governor Idris for his dedication to improve state infrastructure to drive the economy and filling the longstanding infrastructure deficit in state owned media outlets.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of leveraging the new technology to effectively promote and broadcast the Governor’s policies, programs, and accomplishments.
Earlier,the General Manager of Kebbi Television, Alhaji Aminu Sani Kamba, reflected on Governor Nasir Idris’s recent visit to the station, where he pledged to enhance its operations with cutting-edge technology.
Kamba highlighted that the new 4K cameras and associated gear are the first of their kind for the station, marking a significant upgrade for Kebbi television service since it’s establishment.
He expressed his gratitude to the Governor for fulfilling his promises and assured that his station will use the new equipments to deliver comprehensive coverage of government initiatives, achievements, as well solidifying its role in the state’s media landscape.
It would be recalled that a similar gesture was yesterday extended to the Kebbi state Radio Corporation. The station too got long required equipments from the state government to upgrade its operations and enhance its reach.
