Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has extended a warm welcome to those who recently joined the All Progressives Congress from other political parties in the state.
He assured them of equal opportunities and a sense of belonging in the government’s policies and programmes.
The governor stated this during a thank-you tour of Suru, Koko Besse, and Maiyama Local Government Areas on Wednesday.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Idris expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support his administration had received.
“Those who have joined our great party will be treated equally. Together, we will work towards the growth and prosperity of Kebbi State,” he said.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining the free distribution of fertilisers and other agricultural inputs to farmers.
“I assure you that my administration will continue the free distribution of fertilisers and other agricultural inputs. This initiative is part of our broader vision to uplift the agricultural sector and ensure farmers thrive for the benefit of Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.
The governor also stressed his commitment to extensive infrastructural development, promising that no community in the state would be left behind in the transformation agenda.
He called on the people to continue supporting the administration’s progressive agenda, which he described as directly improving the quality of life for the citizens.
The Kebbi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, who was also on the tour, commended the governor for his impactful leadership and developmental achievements.
Welcoming the defectors, the state APC chairman said, “You have made the right decision by joining the APC. The party’s policies are designed to bring about meaningful changes in your lives.”
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, a former commissioner and prominent political figure in the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Mohammed Dakingari, said their decision to join the APC was driven by the remarkable achievements of the Idris administration.
“We are impressed with Governor Idris’ transformative agenda. His administration has achieved great strides in road construction, education, healthcare, and human capital development.
“These accomplishments have touched the lives of the masses, and we are proud to align ourselves with this vision,” Dakingari said.
