The Katsina State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has elected new leaders who will run the party’s affairs at the state level.
Party delegates from the 34 Local Government Areas of the state converged at the PDP state secretariat on Saturday to affirm the chairmanship contender, Alhaji Nura Amadi Kurfi.
Following the exercise, the chairman of the Party’s electoral committee, Alhaji Ilu Bello, declared Alhaji Nura Kurfi as the winner of the election while also announcing Alhaji Magaji Lawal as the vice chairman.
Addressing the congress shortly after the election, Alhaji Nura Amadi Kurfi vowed to provide credible opposition in the state.
“The misrule and arrogance of the APC will be over in the 2027 general elections,” Amadi challenged the ruling APC in Katsina State.
He pledged to restore the lost glory of the PDP in Katsina State, adding that the party is poised to take over power from the APC in the state and the country at large.
