Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have settled their divorce as they await a judge’s finalization of their separation.
Lopez filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, revealing that the former couple resolved their divorce through mediation in September, nearly a month after she initiated the process.
While most financial details of the split remain private, court records confirm that neither Lopez nor Affleck will pay spousal support after the divorce is finalized. Additionally, Lopez will remove “Affleck” from her legal name.

The couple, famously known as “Bennifer,” tied the knot in July 2022. Although they reported separating in April 2023, Lopez officially filed for divorce in August 2024.
Their love story began in the early 2000s when they met, fell in love, and got engaged.
They starred together in the movies Gigli (2003) and Jersey Girl (2004) but ended their relationship, citing the pressures of intense public scrutiny.
Two decades later, they reunited and married, much to the delight of fans and the surprise of skeptics.
According to records filed on Monday, the pair resolved their financial matters amicably through mediation, avoiding prolonged court battles.
The couple has no children together. Affleck shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, whom he divorced in 2018. Lopez, who has been married four times, has twins with singer Marc Anthony.
