Kano State Government has said that its deadline of January 31st, 2025 for property owners in the state to recertify their lands still stands
Kano State Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Abduljabar Mohammad Umar stated this during a briefing in his office on Friday.
He explained that already, no fewer than 2000 lands had been recertified since the exercise began last year
He also said that on account of the exercise, the Miinistry had welcomed a surge of landowners who had come for inquiries, registration, and other activities.
He warned that those who refused to come forward for fresh certificates risk losing their lands at the end of the exercise by the 31st of January.
He added that after the current rectification exercise, the ministry would commence the certification of houses, shops, and farmlands.
