Isreal vs Hamas: Trump wants to ‘clean out’ Gaza, move Palestinians to Jordan, Egypt

United States President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to ‘clean out’ Gaza and move Palestinians to Jordan and Egypt.

Trump revealed on Saturday that he has asked Jordan’s King Abdullah II to take in more Palestinians, adding that Palestinians should leave the Gaza Strip to ‘clean out’ the enclave.

His comments came as thousands of Palestinians waited to return to their homes in northern Gaza after the Israeli government accused Hamas of breaching a ceasefire agreement and refused to open crossing points.

“I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing at a different location where they can maybe live in peace for a change,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday.

“You are talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know, it’s over,’” the president added.

Referring to an earlier conversation with King Abdullah, Trump said he had told the monarch, “I’d love you to take on more” Palestinians, adding that he would raise the matter with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Sunday.

Arogidigba Global Journal reports that fighting in Gaza started on October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian militant group Hamas carried out a terror attack on Israel.

About 1,200 people were killed in the attack and another 251 people were taken hostage.

As a result , Israel launch an air and land assault on Gaza, killing over 47,000 people.
