The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Anambra State chapter on Friday re-elected its officers for another term.
In the election conducted by the National Financial Secretary of IPAC who is also the National Organising Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman and National Youth Leader of Social Democratic Party and member of 2024 Anambra State IPAC Electoral Committee, Uchechukwu Ogbonna, all the nine members of the state chapter of IPAC were re-elected.
That followed Chief Vincent Chukwurah of SDP’s motion for the adoption of the existing executive members supported by Hon. Ugochukwu Emeh, State Chairman of Labour Party.
Earlier Comrade Patrick Obianyo had moved a motion to have the existing executive Committee dissolved. He was supported by Chief Vincent Chukwurah.
The election was supervised by the head of department/deputy director of Election and Political Party Monitoring (EPA) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Mr. Njoku George C.
Among the re-elected members are: the Chairman, Chief Ugwuoji Uchenna Rewards, deputy chairman Chief Aninwachukwu Mathias Nwaneze, state Secretary Comrade Uzochukwu Uzom Eminent and State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Chief Mathias Ameke.
Others are: Prince Obi Moses-Treasurer, Comrade Patrick Obianyo, State organising Secretary, Hon. Ugochukwu Ibeneme- legal adviser, Hon. Olieh Christy Ndidi- State deputy secretary and Hon. Ezeife Emeka-State financial secretary.
In his speech after the election, the chairman Chief Ugwoji thanked members for peaceful conduct and for re-electing him. He pledged to promote the course of IPAC and that he will not let the group down.
Also in his speech, Mr. Njoku saluted the group for their orderliness and peaceful conduct of the election.
Njoku said their peaceful disposition has made his job easier and reminded them that there is a platform of Party chairmen and the INEC in which the Resident Electoral Commissioner is active.
He urged them to cross-check information from the platform.
