IPA applauds Agama’s appointment as SEC DG

A group, under the aegis of the Ijaw Professional Association (IPA), has applauded the appointment of Dr. Emomotimi Agama as the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria (SEC), describing it as a positive step towards achieving sustainable economic and financial growth in Nigeria.

The group gave the commendation in its congratulatory message signed by its Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Major General Paul Alaowei Toun (Rtd), noting this prestigious appointment is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the financial sector and his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the Nigerian economy.

According to IPA, Agama’s relentless pursuit of excellence and integrity had earned him respect and admiration across various professional circles, assuring that his strategic insights, innovative approach, and commitment to integrity would significantly contribute to the growth and stability of Nigeria’s capital markets.

The group further described his appointment as a positive step towards achieving sustainable economic development and reinforcing investors’ trust in the financial system, expressing pride for the new appointment as it “looks forward to his continued success in his new role.”
