President Bola Tinubu has vowed that the “forces of evil” threatening Nigeria’s peace and security will not triumph, assuring citizens that his administration remains firmly committed to ending insecurity and delivering a renewed, prosperous Nigeria.
In his Easter message to the nation, released by the State House on Saturday, the President acknowledged the pain and fear caused by recent attacks and the loss of lives in parts of the country.
He expressed deep sympathy for the victims and their families, reaffirming his government’s resolve to decisively confront criminality and restore stability.
“The recent tragic incidents and the loss of lives in some parts of our country deeply saddened me,” President Tinubu said.
“I understand the pain and fear these incidents have caused. Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable. The forces of evil will never prevail over our country.”

The President said he had given “clear directives” to the Armed Forces and all security agencies to end insecurity “decisively and without delay.”
He commended the courage of security personnel on the frontlines and noted that “steady progress” was being made in reclaiming peace and stability across the country.
“We are also grateful to all Nigerians for your patience and resilience as our economy begins to show encouraging signs of recovery,” he added.
His Easter address—anchored on the Christian themes of sacrifice, redemption, and renewal—called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and united in the face of the country’s challenges.
“As President of our blessed nation, I draw inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” he said.
“I remain steadfast in my commitment to delivering the promise of Renewed Hope—a better, more just, and prosperous Nigeria for all.”
While acknowledging the economic hardship many Nigerians are facing, Tinubu said early signs of recovery were beginning to emerge.
He promised continued efforts to stabilize key sectors, restore investor confidence, and build an inclusive economy.
“We understand the economic challenges many of you are facing, and we are working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilize key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he said.
President Tinubu also extended his prayers to Pope Francis, wishing him continued strength after his recent recovery, and praised the Christian community for its enduring faith and resilience.
“I earnestly pray that Easter’s spirit fills every heart and home with renewed faith in the immense possibilities ahead of us as a nation. Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face,” he said.
Closing his message on a note of unity and optimism, the President urged citizens to remain resolute in the pursuit of national progress.
“The present moment may be cloudy, but it will usher in a glorious day,” he said.
“Our unity and resilience are our greatest strengths.”
