Esther Igbekele has acknowledged the significant impact that social media has made on her music career. She stated this in a recent interview saying social media serves as a powerful tool for promotion, enabling them to share their message and ministry beyond geographical boundaries and expressing her hopes for the future of the gospel music industry.
Igbekele revealed that social media has played a crucial role in promoting her music, especially given that she has been without a promoter for several years.
“Well for everyone who wants to sustain a healthy business, you must face one trouble or the other due to early growth fears,” she stated.
“I have been without a promoter for so many years, but now I can face the hurdles of having no one to promote me due to the help of social media platforms. Getting more followers may be a little bit stressful, but with time organic followers that appreciate your potential will follow you.”

Esther who started professionally as a musician in the year 1996 also expressed her desire for an upgrade in the quality of gospel music being released. She hopes to see songs that resonate with people from all walks of life.
Offering advice to fellow artistes in her genre, Igbekele emphasised the importance of focus and perseverance, even in the face of initial challenges.
She stressed that hard work and dedication are essential for success. Speaking about her latest work, Igbekele announced the release of a new single containing “prophetic utterances that this year will be a blessing to everyone,” adding, “I am going to make it whether enemies like it or not. My advice to other artistes is that they should be focused and not be distracted even if they are yet to be known or make money . Hard work and dedication with consistency pays well. I am super grateful to God for what I have become in the industry. I’m an household name and can be referred to with one of my viral songs (shey normal) that needs no much introduction to be remembered,” Igbekele said.
