The Chief Economic Adviser to the Imo State Government, Professor of Sustainable Finance at the European University Institute, Italy, Professor Kenneth Amaeshi, has joined the Scientific Committee of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance.
A statement indicated that the European DIGITAL SME Alliance is the largest network of ICT small and medium enterprises in Europe, representing more than 45,000 companies.
It noted that DIGITAL SME is the joint effort of 30 national and regional SME associations from EU member states and neighbouring countries to put digital SMEs at the centre of the EU agenda.
It mentioned that the committee creates a community of academic experts supporting DIGITAL SME´s evidence-based approach to advocacy.
According to the statement, within the scope of the committee, its members are encouraged to engage on an individual level with DIGITAL SMEs.
“The committee is a unique opportunity to advance this vision at a European level, and for its members to engage in fruitful exchanges with like-minded experts, with options to interact bilaterally with the DIGITAL SME community and pursue joint research projects or funding opportunities,” it added.
Amaeshi, who is also a professor of Sustainable Business at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, is a sustainability expert and will contribute his expertise to the sustainable digitalisation agenda of the EU Digital SME Alliance.
