The petition reads, ” On Saturday, 15th March, 2025 I was presiding over our enlarged family (Aderuku House) meeting inside Owa Oruku hall in Irorin quarter, llawe Ekiti when suddenly three wild looking hefty men from Ororin house who are not members of our family rushed inside our family hall facing me directly.
“They threatened me, pointing cudgels, cursing me and at the same time one of them was seen pulling out a pistol to shoot me. When I stood up i saw another group surrounding the hall. This was around 6 pm.
“The intervention of members of our family prevented my being shot. The police was called in and three policemen on patrol came but the three attackers ran away with other members.
“Up till now the culprits have not been arrested and the man, Ororin who assured the police failed to bring them.
“Dear Commissioner of Police, the names of the attackers who entered the hall that I could identify are well known to me and all living in Irorin quarter Ilawe-Ekiti. The Ilawe-Ekiti police know them because they saw them.
“Please save my soul as these people are still moving freely in the community, evading police arrest and boasting within the quarter that nothing will happen to them. Kindly intervene before these people carry out their dastardly mission.”
