In its bid to promote peaceful and prosperous community through qualitative and functional education, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited is instituting a scholarship/bursary scheme to provide education support to indigenes and residents student of the Division schooling in various public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The goal is to encourage an enviable performance and academic excellence, capable of engendering a human development hub and investment growth for the future of the Ikorodu division.
Beyond the promotion of higher quality education and human resources hub for the division, the need to also support indigent students in the pursuit of their education especially considering the harsh reality of post-COVID-19 and the excruciating global economic slump which has undermined the capacity of many parents to cope with the educational demand of their children and by implication resulting in several children dropping out of school and becoming vulnerable to crime, cultism and hooliganism. It is against this background, that the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited Scholarship/Bursary scheme is instituting an educational support to the youth demography as intervention to forestall the above stated challenges.
Benefits
- Bursary 1: This award is not tenured, it can only be enjoyed one-off. A background check on documents submitted by applicants shall be conducted.
- Bursary 2: This award is not tenured, it can only be enjoyed once-off. Only indigenes should apply for this category of bursary. A background check on the applicants shall be conducted.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a full-time student in any of the public tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
- Must be from 200 Level (2nd year) and above with a verifiable CGPA
- Must provide proof of Indigeneship (Letter of identification from a recognized Oba and Local Government/LCDA). Residents he/she must submit Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card as proof.
- Application for the “Bursary 1” is based on Academic performance and it is open to Indigenes and Residents. Students applying for this scheme must be of good Academic standing, not less than Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or Second class Upper Division for Universities and Upper Credit for Polytechnics, Monotechnics and College of Educations respectively.
- Application for the “Bursary 2” is exclusively for indigent indigenes who are having financial difficulty in pushing through their education. Although, no academic grade is required for this application, an applicant should possess not less than Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 or lower credit.

- An academic profile signed by the university registrar or head of department.
- An identification letter from a recognised traditional ruler (for indigenes).
- Proof of residence through the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card.
- Any other supporting documentation.
