Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he remains a loyal member of the party and will work to promote its ideals.
In a statement released on his verified Facebook page by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari emphasized that he does not want any ambiguity regarding his political allegiance.
“I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularize the party by all means,” he declared.
The former president expressed deep gratitude for the support he received from the APC before and during his two-term presidency, describing it as the highest honor.
He assured that he would never turn his back on the party that brought him to power and reiterated his commitment to its growth.
While Buhari did not directly address any specific political issues or figures currently dominating discussions within the APC, his statement comes amid ongoing internal debates and leadership discussions within the ruling party.
He also praised the founding fathers of the APC for their efforts in building a strong political platform aimed at upholding the constitution and democracy, stressing that these sacrifices must be protected and nurtured.
