The Presidency has described Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, as “humility personified” following her gesture of kneeling to greet Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
This was contained in a post on Monday via X by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication to President Bola Tinubu.
Posting a picture of the First Lady during her recent courtesy visit to the Afenifere leader’s residence in Akure, Ondo State, Mr Dare captioned, “Humility Personified! Nigeria’s first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in full Kneeling gesture as she greets Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, Ondo State. There is Power in Humility!”

During the visit, Pa Fasoranti commended President Tinubu for his leadership, stating that the President had exceeded expectations since assuming office.
According to a statement from the media aide to the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, the 98-year-old elder statesman expressed satisfaction with the President’s performance and prayed for his continued success.
“I am satisfied with what he is doing in Nigeria. Well done,” Fasoranti said, while also applauding the First Lady for her support of national development efforts.
In her remarks, Senator Remi Tinubu said the visit was informal and conveyed greetings from the President. She described the Afenifere leader as a father figure to both herself and President Tinubu.
The meeting was part of the First Lady’s two-day official visit to Ondo State, where she also launched a series of health and empowerment initiatives under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
