It’s a glamorous sight on Wednesday as African leaders stormed Lagos for the 2024 Obafemi Awolowo Prize for leadership award.
The event was graced by former heads of state from within and outside Nigeria, state governors, royal fathers and other distinguished Nigerians.
Among dignitaries at the event are: former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Kashim Shettima, President, United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan (Chairman of the Occasion), the list endless.
The award, according to the organisers, is an initiative of the Obafemi Awolowo Foundation set up in April 1992 to serve as the custodian of Chief Awolowo’s intellectual and leadership legacy.
