All is set for the Ultimate Singing Marathon event under the World Guinness Book of Records, as the organisers have fixed Monday, April 22, 2024, as the date for the one-of-a-kind event scheduled to hold at the Blake Resort, Garki, Abuja.
The event, according to the organisers during an interaction with Tribune Online, is expected to bring together music lovers, aspiring singers, and industry stakeholders for an unforgettable celebration of songs.
Diana Paul, a Nigerian from Cross River State and a resident of FCT, is attempting to break a singing record of 105 hours to set a new record of 150 hours or more.
At a press conference on Sunday, Paul said that as a songwriter, author, girl-child enthusiast, and advocate for goodwill, she applied to the Guinness World Record to set a new singing record, which had been approved.
She explained that she was not only attempting to set a new record but also to use the platform as an opportunity to challenge the youth in the country not to give up on their dreams.
“My goal is to stir up the youths to pursue their passion, commemorate International Women’s Month, and take on feats that promote human existence and peace.
“Music like football brings people together, which provides a unique platform for networking, showcasing products and services, and fostering collaborations among participants,” she said.
The CEO of Big TV Space, Henry Ajifoh, the organiser of the event, said the sing-a-thon event is a highly anticipated gathering that would attract a diverse audience from various industries and backgrounds.
He called on sponsors to come on board and lend their support for the event by showing their commitment to the arts and music community.
“We have a strong track record of organising successful events such as this and creating impactful partnerships that drive value for all stakeholders involved.
“We are actively seeking sponsors and partners to support this unique event. By collaborating with us, your brand can reach a highly engaged audience of music lovers, businessmen and women, brands, and more,” Ajifoh told the Tribune Online.
